Timo Niskanen has created an innovative hanging for the Akana lamp; the lamp can be installed in three different positions which makes the lamp change its appearance and directs the light to the desired direction! Positioning is easy and it can be made without tools.
Asymmetric shape of Akana makes it surprising and fresh contemporary luminaire.

Timo Niskanen (b.1981) studied industrial design at Aalto University School of Art and Design and is currently working as freelance designer based in Helsinki, being especially interested in design related to everyday life. Before founding his own company in 2009, he worked as a designer for a Finnish lighting company.
