Terrain offers a new dimention in the game of chess. It consists of 3-dimensional board made of 64 separate wooden blocks which can be altered and rearranged to create a variety of terrains in which to do battle.

Arranging the board: the blocks can be arranged in whatever way the players wish, however remember the board should be arranged so that the bottom righthand square is white.

The pieces: These individual chess pieces are not traditional, they are Finnish. And they might at first seem a little strange! The “Pawns” are sthe smalles pieces, easily distinguished byt their rugged individualness. The Castles are an unadorned block of clay. The Knights are disinguishable by their large shields. The Bishops are keeping a low profile wearign a hooded hat. The Queens are quite a plain pair of ladies white the Kings many would say have large heads.

The wooden blocks are made of walnut and white oiled oak. The porcelain chess pieces are made by hand and each piece is unique.
