Kaipaus

Inspired by her little daughter Hanna, the co-founder and CEO Tuula Antola is behind the idea. It all started with a small 6-years girls delighted cry: “Mommy, this toy bunny smells just like you, I love it!”.

The idea was developed further by years of research end experimentation resulting in the Kaipaus nanofrago® scentable core. Kaipaus Finland Ltd was established on March 2006. The mission of Kaipaus is to bring joy, welfare and safety to people, by using scents.

The first collection, the scent jewellery was launched on February 2008. Designers of collection were Finnish top designers Paola Suhonen, Jussi Wright, Antti Eklund and Harri Koskinen. The idea and collection was rewarded by Fennia Prize – Good Design Grown Global – honorary mention on February 2009.

The nanofrago® scent core is a ceramic element controlled by a nano-tech production process. Any desired scent can be added, or later removed, from the item. A few drops of perfume is emitted evenly for up to 4 weeks. It´s like a time capsule.

Kaipaus is a Finnish, innovative design product made. Collection has spread with new jewellery models, Christimas decorations and Ajasto scentable calendar on autumn 2009.
